Cooking
It was my birthday last November 13 and as usual, I had a simple celebration at home with my family in Antipolo City.
For the first time I cooked Buffalo wings! Everyone liked it so my sister requested to do it again next week =).
The white sauce is heavenly...
Also, I made Bacon and Ham carbonara for it’s my husband’s favorite pasta and I made him Tuna carbonara on our 3rd monthsary.

Those wings look amazing, Ate! What's the recipe?
And is that *gasp* cream in the carbonara? Haha, just kidding. Have you ever tried it with just cheese, egg, bacon, black pepper, and a bit of the pasta water for the sauce? It gets creamy in a different way, but it's so good!
It's buffalo wings. I think its Magnolia's recipe for Buffalo wings and I tried it for the first time. I thought it would be a failure but luckily they liked it and they wanted more.
Yap that's the cream but I didn't put some of the cream hahaha. Looks bland. It's a tuna carbonara, i used all purpose cream, evaporated milk, butter, garlic, bell pepper, black pepper and loads of butter. Next time I will try with Campbell's Cream of Mushroom. I'll take a picture =)
Here's the recipe for the Buffalo Wings;
Marinade:
½ kilo Chicken Wings
1 tsp cayenne pepper
2 tbsp calamansi juice
1 tsp garlic, chopped
1 tsp salt
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp chili powder
1 tsp hot sauce
½ tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp brown sugar
¼ cup Butter, unsalted (olive oil)
Oil for deep frying
Glaze:
2 tbsp Butter, unsalted
¼ cup prepared barbecue sauce
¼ cup hot sauce
Garlic Dip:
½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup Fresh Milk
1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
blue cheese
salt to taste
ground white pepper to taste
Procedure:
Make 2 pieces per wing by cutting the chicken through the joints.
In a bowl, prepare marinade by mixing all the spices and marinate the chicken for at least an hour.
While marinating, heat oil for deep frying. Fry chicken wings until golden and crispy.
In a pan over medium heat, combine butter, barbecue sauce and hot sauce.
Mix well glaze then toss in the chicken wings until well covered with the glaze.
To make the dip, mix all ingredients in a bowl until well blended. Serve dip on the side together with the wings.
Thanks for the recipe, Ate! I think we'll be having a Superbowl party at some point, and wings are perfect.
I will post a blog entry soon, I promise! But in the meantime, check out this carbonara recipe, try it out, and let me know what you think!

Thanks JZ, I'll try that, at least I won't be using all purpose cream anymore.
We're planning our Christmas and New Year buffet and share it here.
This so exciting =)
